Özel Erdil Anadolu Lisesi is a private school located at Çamlıca Hill, the highest and the most beautiful place of Istanbul. Erdil Educational Institutions have also a primary school and a kindergarten. Our students’ parents have to give some money to the school every year. That’s why, we can say that most of them have a middle or high socio-economic degree in their lifestyles. This truth absolutely makes a significant contribution to their education. In addition to this, our institution pays much importance to the foreign language teaching. English is very important at our school. German and Spanish are also taught as a second foreign language. So English education starts at the age of 4. German and Spanish are taught from the 4th grade to the 12th grade. At high school there are 10 English lessons in a week for 9th grades, 8 hours in a week for 10th grades, 6 hours in a week for 11th grades and for 12th grade students, 4 hours in a week . Also we organize a lot of activities, dramas, competitions with our students in our school. We do not have any pupils with special needs.  Also we do not have any migrants or refugees. We are not in a disadvantage area because our school is in Üsküdar / İstanbul which is a big town.

In this Comenius Project, our partnership focuses mainly on pupil involvement, so they will always be involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all project activities.

All of the activities will be put into the curriculum of the partner schools in the beginning of the project. This means that not also the teachers but also the students will learn what they will do through the whole year about the project. This will help them feel that they are doing something serious and very important, so their motivation will be increased to their school subjects and to their relations with the partner schools.

The Istituto di Istruzione Superiore is situated in Tropea, a gorgeous natural and architectural place in the south of Italy. Tourism is the most important activity, but the area has not a greatly positive economic, social and cultural welfare. The economic development is, in fact, limited by the lack of specialized workers and by the phenomenon of criminality, whose influence is greatly felt.

The school is a secondary one, with three different specializations, the one in classical studies, the one in scientific studies, the vocational one ( economics and catering services). The students, aged 13-14 to 18-19, come from different social backgrounds. Some of them are quite motivated, but many of them need to be strongly sustained, being at risk of social exclusion, in order to partecipate actively in school life and to understand the importance of respect for different social and cultural backgrounds. Our school is also attended by students with special needs  and by students coming from different countries.

The Istituto di Istruzione Superiore of Tropea would like to reinforce, through the partecipation to this project, some principles which already are the basis of our curricular and extra-curricular activities: freedom, tolerance and solidarity in a multicultural society, respect for the environment, the culture of peace and legality, the importance of gender equality and the support to "weak" people ( students with handicap or problems, old people, people with economic or social difficulties ).

The previous multicultural projects realized by the school showed how important and positive to students, teachers and the local community it is to work with European partners to overcome social prejudices and to realize a wide cooperation for the building of a real European cultural space.

Robert Doisneau High School is a school for General Education whose aim is to prepare students for University. Our students are aged 15 to 18 and spend 3 years in our school. After the first year, they specialize either in Literature and languages, Economics,  Science and Mathematics or Technics.  At the end of the third year, they take their High School diploma. We have 530 students and 79 teachers (some of them part-time or working in different schools). The curriculum focuses on communication skills, either written or oral, and aims at giving students enough cultural background (history, geography, French, languages, science) to specialize further when studying at the university. Therefore, we try to use various communication means, like computers, the internet, but we also have projects including film making or slam sessions.    Besides, we also have some pupils with a high achievement in sport (female football players of the French Hopeful Group) or who study art like Drama or Circus Art.

Our high school is located in a disadvantaged area. It is an urban environment, very close to the second largest city in France, Lyon. Most pupils come from migrant families. There are several ethnic groups in the school, mainly from Africa or North Africa but also Eastern countries. Our pupils very often underestimate their abilities and being part of an international partnership would enable them to get a better feeling of their own value, which would compensate partly the disadvantages they suffer due to their background and give them valuable knowledge and skills when it comes to studying further or even finding a job later on.

The Academy of Pedagogy and Social Work is a secondary school which includes the students with special needs /dyslexia, dysgraphia, disabled/, the project work will not avoid them. As many students do not come from very rich families and many of them commute to school from the villages the contribution of this project will be important to them. The activities will be especially significant because of the future careers of our students. They will learn how to use theory in practice. They will gain communicative language and ICT skills that will make them more confident, more effective in their work and more motivated. They will appreciate the value of knowledge. The aim of the project plan is to overcome different prejudices, to get to know each other, to make new friendships, to improve our usage of multimedia, to communicate fluently in foreign language.

Our institution is located in Gyula which is a small town directly next to the Romanian border. Besides the permanent population, there are a large number of those, who temporarily reside in our city. One reason is that four high schools are also located in  that county and national attraction district. The other major factor is tourism, which is greatly affecting the life of the city’s Castle Spa determined by domestic and foreign visitors’ visiting. These factors greatly affect the city's cultural life, which is significant throughout the whole year. The city's other main pillars of the economy where the world famous meat factory Gyulai sausage is made. The county hospital is located in Gyula, which is the largest institution here thus, the high number of public sector employees.

The city of three nationalities live side by side, Hungarian, German and Romanian. Here is the country's only ethnic Romanian high school, and in our institute an ethnic German language student grades operate as well. This is a good example of the openness of the citizens of our city and the adoption of other cultures to live together with them. Of course, it also permeates the spirit of our institution.

Our institute was established in 2007 with contraction. Six member institutions are in seven supplies of task.   The institution consists of four elementary schools and an Elementary School of Arts. About 1,600 students and 200 employees make up our institution. Our school has got 183 students who live in a rural area. Having regarded to the integration of the school all we can keep, the institute train 27 special needs and 95 disadvantaged students.
